We take pride in creating plans, meticulously detailed to meet safety regulations and are guaranteed to meet the requirements of the IRC, including structural prescriptive compliance.  Plans found on DHP meet this universal standard, though local permit requirements do occasionally present permit approval challenges; a house built in Florida, for example, could require locally engineered hurricane reinforcement details, while one built in Washington would likely require special earthquake considerations in its detailing.  A permit reviewer in such localities will be accustomed to advising a contractor/owner of any additional requirements, particular to its jurisdiction, that may be needed.

Blueprints (the construction plan set) as sold by DHP, include exterior elevations, dimensioned floor plans, foundation plans, building sections and details, roof and ceiling plans, and general notes to comply with the IRC building code. The intention is to help ensure that your contractors don’t have to make guesses and can build your new home successfully. When the entire structure is detailed, the construction process goes much smoother.
