At Down Home Plans, DHP, our heartfelt purpose has always been to contribute to families’ dreams of homeownership. This is especially poignant for those facing institutional or financial disadvantages. We believe that everyone deserves a place to call home, and through our collaboration with Habitat for Humanity, we are helping make that dream a reality.
Habitat for Humanity is an organization that embodies our mission. As Habitat Builder Paul Newman said, “Habitat for Humanity is building much more than houses. They are building hope, building relationships, strengthening communities, and nurturing families.” This vision aligns perfectly with our goals at DHP.
Through the online sale of house plans, DHP commits to donating building plans specifically designed for Habitat for Humanity households. Our contributions extend beyond financial support; we offer our time and expertise to create designs that meet the unique needs of these families while meeting Habitat for Humanity’s requirements.
Our past projects include single-family home plans in Norfolk, Chesapeake, and Virginia Beach and multi-family townhouse developments. Each project has been a step towards providing stable, affordable housing for those in need.
